What is so great about Activated Charcoal, you ask?
Activated charcoal uses extend beyond internal applications. Externally as part of a skincare routine, it’s said to be effective at treating body odor and acne and relieving discomfort from insect bites, rashes from poison ivy or poison oak, and it takes care of industrial strength dirt with the gentleness of a Baby Goat Kiss. Unlike regular charcoal, which is a known carcinogen, activated charcoal is medicinal. It’s the by-product of slowly burnt hardwood, peat or coconut shells that is treated with oxygen, a process which renders it highly porous and nonpolar, enabling it to bind dirt particles and flush them away with the soapy water and lather. Our activated charcoal comes from various harvested hardwoods which are a renewable resource.
